Hi & welcome to FootWorks Family Shoe Outlets online. I’m Reg Granger, proprietor of FootWorks Nambour & Strathpine. Since buying my first shoe store in Nambour from the Aird Brothers in 1979, I’ve always had a passion for shoes. Over the years, my family & I have watched fashions come & go, while putting comfy shoes on countless happy feet. Fast forward to 2010: I still love the smell of shoe leather when I enter the store in the mornings & never tire of lifting the lid off a brand new shoe box that contains the latest fashion shoes! My flagship FootWorks store at Nambour celebrated its 30th birthday in 2009.

As a long-standing family business, FootWorks Shoe Outlets have served the community of Nambour & the Sunshine Coast, & more recently, Strathpine, providing properly fitted, affordable footwear for the whole family for 3 decades. With 4 stores & 16 staff (including 7 full-time), my daughter Lisa, FootWorks Manager Neil Collie & I have oodles of customer service experience to offer you. We completely understand footwear & fitting, ensuring you not only get the shoes or boots that fit your feet correctly, but also value for money every time.

Our FootWorks store layout is a little different to most shoe stores. It was originally inspired from a concept store in the USA where large shoe outlet warehouses displayed their shoes sitting on pallet loads of shoe boxes. We redefined this concept into a uniquely Australian, customer-friendly retail merchandise layout exclusively for our local FootWorks Shoe Outlets. So in each FootWorks store you’ll find the shoes displayed along with all the sizes of that shoe currently available in stock, in that same style, directly below.

This makes it much easier to self-serve if that’s your preference, by simply choosing a shoe you like, selecting your size, taking a seat & trying them on. This unique display system lets you see instantly what’s in stock at any given time, avoiding the frustration of larger department stores where you have to wait until an assistant is available, then wait again while the assistant disappears out the back with your chosen shoe, rummaging through stock for what seems like an eternity, only to return & tell you they don’t have the size/colour/style you were after!

At FootWorks, friendly sales assistance is always on hand when you need your questions answered about any of our footwear, or you may just prefer the personal service of expert custom fitting provided by our fully trained staff. With 4 stores to draw from, if we don’t have the exact shoes you’re after at one store, a quick phone call can track them down at another store for you. Or if they’re currently out of stock, we can custom order most shoes for you direct from our suppliers.

By the way, we’ve always taken an interest in our local community. I’m still an active member of many local community organisations including Nambour Futures, Nambour Chamber of Commerce, Nambour RSL Club & Nambour Crushers.

FootWorks believes in giving back to the community in a number of different ways. We donate funds to local community events such as the recent ’Back to Nambour Weekend’ & staff members are actively encouraged to do their bit by taking part in charity fun runs & golf days as well as assisting in raising funds for local charity organisations.

Long ago after losing a loved one to cancer, I made this commitment to honour her memory; a percentage of every shoe sale from our FootWorks Shoe Outlets goes directly to the Cancer Fund to continue to support vital research for finding a cure. Nearly every family has been touched by cancer in some way & this legacy is Footworks’ dedicated contribution towards a a healthier future for all our families.
